Honorable Linda Pearce Prestley (Ret.) Joins CT Mediation Center

CT Mediation Center announced that Judge Linda Pearce Prestley (Ret.) has joined the firm as a senior mediator and arbitrator. Judge Prestley has decades of respected service as a Superior Court Judge and brings considerable expertise to all facets of mediating and adjudicating divorce and family law matters. Judge Prestley has a reputation for being an open-minded, knowledgeable, and diligent expert in divorce and family law issues. She is known as a practical, experienced hand who can break down issues ranging from complex financial matters to sensitive parenting issues.

Judge Prestley has extensive mediation experience both privately and during her time on the bench. She has assisted parties in resolving a variety of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, blended family issues, step parenting issues, post judgment matters, retirement asset division, and complex financial matters. She is currently focusing her practice on private mediation and arbitration and mediates both attorney-represented matters and self-represented parties.

Prior to her appointment to the bench in 2000, Judge Prestley served as Connecticut’s Child Advocate and as an Assistant Attorney General in Education, Child Protection, and CHRO matters. Judge Prestley earned her B.A from Hood College in Frederick, MD, an Ed.M from Harvard University, Cambridge, MA, and a J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law.
